**Title: Specialist Advisor - (** **Environmental Projects and Contracts)**

**Grade: Band D/E**

**Salary: £28,273- £36,648 a year (dependent upon experience and qualifications)**

**Hours: Full time**

**Contract: Permanent**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy, friendly, and professional team within the Green Consultancy department of Lewes and Eastbourne Council’s within the Regulatory and Place team.

With experience in contract management, you will ensure our grounds maintenance contracts are being delivered as per the specification assist in monitoring and reporting, and the specification of new contracts. You will be required to have obtained a qualification in horticulture, project management, or other relevant field, and hold solid experience with engagement and contract management.

**Requirements**:

- Grounds maintenance and project management experience
- Good understanding & demonstrable experience in working with landowners and/or other stakeholders towards joint outcomes.
- A working knowledge of current and evolving policy and legislation
- Coordination skills - the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working within the community and supporting volunteers.
- Good written and verbal communication
- Enthusiasm for parks, open spaces and the environment in the UK
- An organised approach to work, flexibility as weekend and evening hours may be required
- A high level of motivation

A full driving license and access to your own transport

The authority has moved to home working and therefore the role will involve home working combined with site visits.
