7.5t Driver

Proud to be in partnership with John Lewis & Partners, M4 Specialist are currently recruiting for Permanent HGV Home Delivery Drivers to work in Weybridge.

As a HGV driver you will be responsible for the delivery process and installation from a wide range of furnishings, white goods and sports equipment whilst maintaining John Lewis’s excellent customer service standards.

**Pay**

Basic £16.80ph

Overtime £25.20ph (after 41hours worked per week)

**Hours of work**

41 hours per week, you will be assigned a rota working 4 out of 7 days on one of the below shift timings:
06:00 - 17:00 Monday to Saturday

10:30 - 21:30 Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 18:00 Saturday

**Requirements**:

- Must be aged 18 or over
- A valid C1 or C Driving Licence (with a maximum of 6 points)
- Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)
- Drivers Qualification Card (DQC)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Physically fit
- Able to promote and maintain the John Lewis brand through excellent customer service and courteous road etiquette.

- Operate a 7.5-tonne dump truck to transport materials and equipment to designated locations
- Perform route driving to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Load and unload materials using a forklift or other heavy equipment as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating the vehicle and handling materials
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each delivery

**Skills**:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or operating heavy equipment preferred
- Ability to safely operate a 7.5-tonne truck and handle various types of cargo
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
