**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for an agreed caseload of apprentices, providing them with high-quality training, coaching, mentoring and assessment to achieve their apprenticeship standard, and its associated qualifications, in a timely manner.
- Initially assessing apprentices to determine their readiness for the apprenticeship programme, establishing their individual starting points, and developing an individual training plan to support their timely progress on programme.
- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment sessions that provide apprentices the opportunity to thoroughly develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours holistically, in sufficient depth, mapped to their individual training plan.
- Being the main point of contact for employers and apprentices, creating and maintaining productive working relationships which support the training and development of apprentices.
- Working with employers to establish appropriate activities and tasks that allow apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours, considering how these will be developed on, and off-the-job.
- Regularly review the apprentices’ development of knowledge, skills and behaviours, and progress of associated qualifications, with both the apprentice and their employer to ensure readiness for Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA) in a timely manner.

- Ensure that assessment of apprentices’ starting points is used in planning and sequencing their training regarding KSB’s, English and maths development.
- Develop and agree individual training plans, in collaboration with employers, which provide support to apprentices to meet the content of, and effectively prepare them for, the end point assessment.
- Ensure that all apprentices and employers are provided with a comprehensive induction programme, confirming that employers know their roles and responsibilities in the collaborative relationship to support the progress of their apprentice.
- Ensure the apprenticeship delivery is flexible to meet formative and summative assessment in order to respond to individual needs.
- Plan and prepare apprentices for training, assessment, gateway, and EPA ensuring a clear understanding of the gateway(s) for each standard and ensuring these are clearly planned into the apprentices individual training plan.
- Develop and implement effective training and learning strategies and activities, including resources to support apprentices in making progress towards successful completion of their apprenticeship programme.
- Provide training, coaching and assessment ensuring training meets standards set by Acorn Training and Awarding Organisations (AO), including complying with the relevant AO and Acorn Training quality assurance processes and requirements in all assessment practice, and presenting apprentices’ work for quality assurance purposes when required.
- Ensure that off-the-job training is effectively planned and tracked as part of the individual apprentices’ training plan and is robustly monitored.
- Actively support the continuous development of apprentices’ English, maths and digital skills.
- Ensure that all apprentices have access to pastoral support including ensuring a good understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, Radicalisation, Equality, Diversity and Fundamental British values.
- Organise and plan assessment opportunities and regular review meetings with apprentices and their employer to set and review KSB targets and progress, and ensure constructive feedback that is developmental, is documented and provided to enhance apprentices’ progress.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to apprentices and employers throughout their programme, ensuring that all apprentices are aware of Guidance and Wellbeing available to them to support their progress.
- Effectively manage timescales and be clear in setting and agreeing objectives and deadlines, monitoring training and assessment outcomes and achievement.
