What will you be doing?

You’ll be working in our dynamic Education team and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Saints Foundations Community Champions project. You will manage members of the team who will work a deliver in secondary schools and be part of a Coordinating team who will support the development of the project to ensure it uses the power of the Saints badge to support those who feel the impact of inequalities most.

You’ll be able to provide inspiring Line Management to the team and support with the development of specially designed resources with the aim of improving pupils’ attitudes towards education, raising aspirations of pupils and supporting their engagement in school life. You will quality assure delivery to ensure they align with Saints Foundation’s delivery expectations and support with our teams ongoing development. As well as working with school partners you will also create relationships with SLT at the schools and provide the opportunity for key stakeholders from schools to input of the project development through regular steering groups.

You’ll be provided with our Saints Foundation branded uniform supplied by Hummel, and the opportunity to go make a positive input to our local community. You’ll be based at the local school Monday to Thursday and at our office in St Mary’s Stadium on Fridays.

If you have an understanding of secondary school education settings in Southampton and experience of developing partnerships at all levels within schools, as well as having an approachable, motivating personality, then you’re the person we are looking for. You are without a doubt a people person who loves building relationships and being a positive influence on the younger generation.

Essential Experience:

- Demonstratable achievements of KPI’s and Outcomes.
- Experience in building relationships with hard-to-reach young pupils and encouraging positive change.
- Experience in leading a team of full-time and casual staff.

Desirable Experience
- Experience of successfully delivering community-based projects.
- Experience of lesson/session observation.
- Experience of working in/with a Secondary School setting.
