The Curriculum Operations Administrator is a member of the Curriculum Operations Team, within the Institute of Health Sciences & Education. This is a key role, the main purpose of which is to work alongside the wider Curriculum Operations Team, ensuring provision of administrative support for the programmes managed by IHSE.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Provision of the administrative processes for the programmes managed by IHSE, in particular the MBBS (Medicine programme) Year 1.
- Act as a key contact for all enquiries relating to the relevant programmes.
- Managing the flow of information between the Heads of Year, Module Leads, Lecturers and Students.
- Ensures the smooth running of the relevant programmes on a day to day basis, including updating all timetables, module documentation & handbooks.
- Maintain and update student lists as required throughout the academic year.
- Coordinate the submission of student work and subsequent grading, ensuring timely grade entry on to SITS.
- Maintain accurate records of student progression, including EC submissions & any other relevant information which will be required for Subject Exam Boards.
- Manage the relevant areas of QMPlus ensuring all lecture notes, handbooks and learning materials are available in a timely manner.
- Book accommodation for all teaching in line with SMD Room Bookings policy, ensuring all necessary materials and audio-visual equipment are available for sessions.
- Monitor student attendance in line with SMDs Attendance Policy, and providing data for Tier 4 reporting as and when required.
- Act as secretary to the Academic Review Group meetings, including sending out agenda & associated paperwork, minute taking, distribution of action points.
- Ensure grades and tutor feedback are communicated to students in a timely manner, as detailed in the relevant standard operating procedure.
- Facilitate evaluation and quality activities, providing support and information as required for the programmes
- Provide support to the Academic Leads with regards to current and future programme developments.
- Support the work of the wider Curriculum Operation Team, including contributing to the provision of cover for the Enquiry Desk function, as directed by the MBBS Manager.
- To contribute to the collation of teaching data as required by the University.
- To contribute to the support for the MedPro Supervisor programme.

**Experience/Knowledge**
- Experience of working as an administrator in a Higher Education Office environment
- A successful track record in working with colleagues at all levels, including senior staff and external contacts
- A good understanding of the annual cycle of administration within a Higher Education environment
- Awareness and understanding of the current issues within Higher Education
- Knowledge of healthcare education in Higher Education or Postgraduate Setting

**Skills/Abilities**
- Excellent analytical skills and numeracy
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise diverse tasks without supervision in order to meet deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, including Excel and digital communication tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to adapt and learn new software and emerging technologies
- Ability to produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail while under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to establish good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. QMUL staff and employers)
- Ability to solve problems, take responsibility and think independently with the ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
- Ability to work effectively on own and also as part of a team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 weeks

**Salary**: £17.22 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
