Created in 1987 and formerly founded in 1989, Autism and Neurodiversity North Scotland (A-ND) has been providing support and services for autistic and neurodivergent individuals of all ages, and their families, throughout Grampian for over 30 years. We have gone through significant and transformational change since 2021 and continue to develop and grow to ensure we are leaders in autism and neurodiverse specific support throughout north Scotland.

Growing from a staff team of 25 to 50 over the last two years, we have a committed, passionate, outcomes and values focused and skilled team who pull together, regardless of role, to create magic every day for the people and families we support.

Our headquarters are based at Carnie Drive, Aberdeen, with a second base in Elgin for our team who serve the Moray area. We are soon to open additional bases in North Scotland, with our next opening in Dingwall from June 2024.

We currently provide outreach support to children, adults and their families throughout Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray, as well as a Playscheme based in Aberdeen for children aged 4 to 18 years. Our new Binky the Sensory Bus project launched in 2023 in Aberdeenshire, and we continue to provide consultancy and training to external partners and organisations throughout Scotland.

Reporting directly to the Business Support Manager, the administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our leadership team and wider organisational needs with a specific focus on supporting the day to day running of our busy head office, people management, minute and note-taking, general administration and office duties.

Job Summary and Purpose of Role

We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team.

You will work closely with the Business Support Manager & leadership team by providing administrative support. Our organisation is fast paced, and this role will require someone who is a self-starter, flexible, able to multi-task and who is a team player.

This is a critical role in supporting the leadership team create a dynamic, innovative & psychologically safe environment by providing personalised secretarial & administrative support in a well-organised & timely manner.

This is a very hands-on role & requires a proactive, flexible, logical & systematic approach, excellent time management & communication skills.

You will contribute to administrative management of the organisation. As we are a small charity, with limited resources, this is a very hands-on role and requires a proactive, flexible, logical and systematic approach and excellent communication skills. The role will involve the management of some external relationships with stakeholders and partners.

**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist with administrative support to the leadership team, ensuring efficient operation of the office.
- Take accurate dictation, Minute & Note Taking
- Assist with scheduling, preparation, and setup of meeting and training rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available.
- Manage diaries, scheduling, deadlines, travel arrangements & enquiries
- Support colleagues ensure opportunities for continued innovation are optimised, supporting teams to deliver excellence
- Support the organisations media strategy, press releases & provide support directly to the CEO with PR
- Effectively collaborate with external stakeholders & co-ordinate required internal support to ensure effective financial functions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of office policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Support the broad work of Autism and Neurodiversity North Scotland, as requested by the Business Support Manager or CEO.

- Proven experience in an administrative role, with a focus on office management preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Word & Excel (Essential)
- Experience & knowledge of Office 365 & related functions (Desirable)
