We are currently looking to recruit a **Yard Assistant** within our team.
**Accountabilities**:
A Yard Assistant isn’t your average retail role, from loading goods into customer’s vehicles, you’ll also be checking deliveries, stock rotation and maintaining the yard. Come rain or shine, this position keeps moving and if you take pride in what you do and really want to make a difference working as part of our extraordinary team then you will fit right in with us here at Alsford Timber.
**Please note,** due to the nature of our products, this position will involve regular manual handling and heavy lifting
**Things you will need to know**:
Your strong customer service/communication skills and continuous improvement mind-set is key for you to support our customers at the highest level
Your excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise a busy workload will enable you to be successful within our fast paced environment.
If you have experience in a merchant environment, this will be beneficial, however we will support you with training so that you can hit the ground running
Our working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 5.00 pm & every other Saturday 8.00 am to 1.00pm.
