**About the role**
Balfour Beatty is currently recruiting an Assistant Engineering Planner to join the Power T&D team in Leeds or Derby.

This is a full time opportunity; 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

The role is responsible for developing the engineering aspect of the Power T&D Substation project P6 programme.

**What you'll be doing**
- Plan, structure and lead the planning of the project programme of works.
- Manage the interface between the programme and the engineering staff through structured meetings, programme and progress reporting.
- Develop a fully logically linked Primavera P6 project programme
- Update and report progress of the development at regular intervals to the Planning Manager, bid team and Project Manager.
- Reporting on key resources including staff; operatives, supply chain and other project milestones to allow the project to align to the tender requirements.
- Ensuring that the established planning and scheduling methodology is followed
- Provide the appropriate programming, management and interfaces between business functions and the delivery team to ensure that contractual milestones in the engineering programme are understood and adhered to.

**Who we're looking for**
- Knowledge of Primavera and Power Transmission projects not essential.
- Knowledge of Project Management methodology not essential.
- Good communication skills
- Adaptable to learning in a proactive environment
- Self driven to learn and understand the processes and systems within Balfour Beatty
