**Job description**

We are based in Manchester providing Oriental Food to local supermarkets, we are looking for a oriental grocery buyer to join our team an overseeing and taking control of all buying activity.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to grow and develop their career within Oriental Food industry.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supporting your manager to manage supplier performance, identifying potential new suppliers and supporting them to build long term supplier relationships
- Negotiating payment and return terms with suppliers, improving the trading position sustainably
- Able to analyse and understand performance issues and opportunities
- Conducting regular store & website visits and reviewing customer insights, trends and competitor activity, helping shape our future product and range requirements for our customers.
- Report and analysis preparation to your line manager
- Supporting delivery of trade, promotions & events plan, striving to exceed KPI's, drive footfall and forecast accurately

**Skill Requirements**
- 2+ years of experience as a buyer.
- Have a proactive approach to problem solving and a positive attitude providing solutions
- Be fully computer literate with good knowledge of oriental marekt.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience with Excel and Word
- Have excellent communication and listening skills
- Excellent organisation skills, ability to manage several tasks simultaneously

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.00 per hour
