Job Summary

The Data Protection Administrator will report directly to the Head of HR and work closely with the Data Protection Officer. Responsible for ensuring all data requests are processed in a timely manner in line with GDPR, keeping accurate records of all data requests and supporting the day to day running administration required in the department.

**Main responsibilities**
- Ensure SAR request are processed dispatched in accordance with ICO and company timeframes:

- Help to investigate complaints about data protection breaches.
- help to maintain a log of data protection breaches or near misses, and remedial recommendations and actions.
- provide support and maintain a log for erasure requests.
- provide general admin support for the HR & data protection team.
- support the team in carrying out data flow reviews and creating data flow maps for key processes across the Company.
- help record the statistics of the number of data protection requests made to the team including: SARs, erasure requests, data breaches etc;
- Establish and maintain data flow maps for data processes across the company to help ensure that the company fulfils the accountability principle in the GDPR.
- Assist with the investigation of complaints about data protection breaches. Maintaining a log of any incidents and remedial recommendations and actions.
- Comply with all data protection legislation.
- Support the company’s legal teams in gathering and processing data for litigation.
- To support the Head of HR with any other tasks or projects as required.

**Essential criteria**
- Previous experience within an administrative role.
- Previous experience with data processing is desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of The Data Protection Act 2018 and the GDPR is highly desirable

- Computer literate with a good knowledge of Word, Excel; Outlook and Power Point, Core and Oracle
- To be able to verbally communicate effectively at all levels within the business, including members of the public, law enforcement & legal firms

**Hours of work**

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
