Park View Medical Clinic are a private independent medical clinic established for over 70 years providing first class private consulting, therapy and treatment rooms to rent in a historic Victorian mansion house. Our aim is to provide a professional environment for clinicians, counsellors, therapists; both holistic and aesthetic within the North East of England.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assessor to join our team. As a Medical Assessor, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and assessing the medical needs of patients. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate determination of medical conditions, treatment plans, and disability claims.
**Duties**:
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments to evaluate the physical and mental health of patients
- Review medical records, diagnostic tests, and other relevant documentation
- Perform thorough examinations and assessments to identify medical conditions and their impact on daily functioning
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather additional information and insights
- Analyse assessment findings and provide detailed reports outlining diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and disability evaluations
- Communicate assessment results to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies as necessary
- Stay up-to-date with medical advancements, research, and best practices in order to provide accurate assessments
**Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Excellent clinical assessment skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in interpreting diagnostic tests and medical records
- Ability to analyse complex medical information and make sound judgments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear report writing and effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals
- Empathy, compassion, and professionalism when interacting with patients
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine)
- Experience in conducting medical assessments or disability evaluations is preferred but not required
Working days are Wednesday and Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience
