Due to exciting continuous growth at the Port of Tilbury, we are delighted to open a number of Apprenticeship positions to join our teams as part of our Apprenticeship Programme. Our Apprenticeship Programme offers you the opportunity to join us on a structured two year programme, where you will gain valuable experience across our port operations, whilst receiving both on-the-job training and comprehensive learning and development in our dedicated training centre. Our Apprenticeship Programme will equip you with the learning and skills required to become a fully qualified port operator upon completion of the programme, allowing you to kick-start your career in the industry.

Whether you are a school leaver, moving on from further education, looking to learn and develop in an area that you are passionate about or interested in a career change, we would love to hear from you. Our Apprenticeship Programme offers over fifteen opportunities for Apprentices here at the Port of Tilbury, with two in-person assessment days taking place in August.

**Please note, to be considered we need all individuals who work at the port to be a minimum of 18 years of age and hold a full UK driving licence.**

We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who are looking to receive high quality training on a range of mechanical plant and equipment whilst gaining hands on work experience across several port assets. To be successful, having a willingness to learn whilst being open to guidance and adhering to port Health and Safety measures is essential.

**What will I learn?**

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a great step into the industry through gaining a thorough understanding of the wider port operations and learning how to operate a range of plant in busy working environments and a range of projects. You will also have the opportunity to gain an oversight of other business functions and learn in depth about the importance and significance of Health and Safety policies and processes. Upon completion of your two year Apprenticeship Programme, you will be equipped with the necessary skills and experience required to become a fully trained port operative.

**What are we looking for?**
- Individuals who are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the work that we do at the port, and are looking to develop a strong foundation to your career
- Due to the nature of the work, we are looking for individuals who would be comfortable working both at height and within small spaces at times
- We do require all individuals who work at our port to be **at least 18 years of age**
