We are looking for fresh packing operatives. the purpose of the job is to assist with the packing of fresh and frozen poultry products on various stations within a packing line, to ensure a consistent end complete product that meets quality and customer expectations.

**Fundamental Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assisting with a range of tasks based on shift positions as instructed by the Supervisor with attention to detail and the result is reflective of the companies’ standards.
- Transferring chicken from large bins into buckets in preparation to be weighed.
- Weighing product to an accurate standard to ensure they are within the provided weight range to ensure the organisations yield targets are met, reduce waste and loss of profits. This will be carried out using pre-set programmes and tolerances indicated by traffic light systems.
- Clean down of equipment in between batches.
- Adhere to any health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring that staff members are not put in any danger or situation that could cause harm to themselves or others.
- Adhere to any food safety regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring the quality, safety and integrity of the product is kept to the highest standard and specification.
- Collaborating with other team members to meet production targets and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Transferring products into food safe storage receptacles to assist with time efficiencies of the team.
- The holding of food safe packaging to allow weighed product to be inserted accurately without any waste or spillage.
- Following food safety requirements in all areas, such as removal of used bags from previous products, thus ensuring no cross contamination of products.
- Relocating products to other members of the team with use of a conveyor, including knowledge of how to complete this to prevent any damage to the machinery or injury to yourself or other team members.
- The use of vacuum packers to ensure the final pack is given a tamper proof seal and there is no opportunity for contamination of the product.
- Completing accurate and detailed paperwork for all tasks as required for company records showing batch and label sign off.
- Constant communication between your team and others working on the line to ensure efficiency is at its highest and every staff member I aware of what is being processed.
