Seasonal Beekeeper

We have an opening for an **experienced **beekeeper to join our small team working in honey production for the 2024 season with immediate start. We run between 250 and 300 honey production colonies.You will be managing all the honey production colonies in a team of 2 throughout the season as well as harvesting and extracting honey. You will also be supporting our nucleus producion team.

Your duties will include all aspects of beekeeping work: frame making, kit cleaning, shifting, honey extraction, feeding, jarring honey etc.

We have core hours but on occasions you will be required to start early and work late.

You must be able to keep good records and be self organised.

You must hold a full manual driving licence.

**Essential Skills**:

- Attention to Detail
- Excellent record keeping

Desirable Skills:

- 1 year Commercial Beefarming Experience
- Disease Recognition Training
- Competent with Excel

You **must **be resident in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 6-7 months

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
