IMMEDIATE START
- Loads and unloads vehicles, the use of the Front-Loading Shovel (FLS), Telehandler, Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPS) and Forklift Truck (FLT) as required
- As general attendant you will effectively reacts to planned and unplanned (i.e. emergency) repairs, blockages and changes in the plant central systems and support the plant attendants in ensuring jobs are completed safely
- Monitors all areas of the plant during plant inspections and report back any defects, issues and hazards on site
- The general attendant will ensure plant cleaning schedules are fulfilled to a satisfactory standard
- Maintains a high standard of housekeeping on the plant at all times
- Active involvement in fire drills and evacuation exercises
- Manages any COSHH items in accordance with legal and company requirements
- Ensures stock and equipment is stored in such a way to prevent damage or wastage.
- Endeavours to minimise waste, and manages any waste arising in accordance with legal and company requirements
- The general attendant will ensure that work accidents, incidents and near misses are reported
- Highlights any necessary changes required within Plant Operating Instructions (POI’s), and Risk Assessments
