Axcis education are looking for a highly motivated teaching assistant who has fluent skills in British Sign Language (BSL) who can take on a full-time ongoing role in an excellent SEND college within the Birmingham area. The college is a special provision with a great reputation of supporting individuals between the age of 16-25 year olds.

The college offers the usual academic courses but also provides lots of vocational courses providing their students with the life and employment skills needed to meet their maximum potential as an adult successfully contributing to their communities to the best of their abilities. These courses vary from animal care to café and store assistant

Requirements:

- Level 3 certificate in British Sign Language or higher
- Previous experience supporting within classrooms
- Previous experience in supporting varied SEND needs such as Autism as well as social and emotional needs and mental health difficulties (SEMH)
- Must be fluent skills in British sign language
- Eligibility to work in the UK
