Job Title: Storage Engineer (Isilon and/or NetApp)

Our client are a multinational semiconductor/software company.

Brief:

- We are looking for a storage engineer with 4 year+ plus experience in building and deploying large scale storage infrastructure for NetApp and Islion technologies, capacity planning and also responsible for large scale data migration of TB's & PB's ofdata
- In this role, you should have a background in data management and be passionate about storage and automation. We're looking for people who are upbeat and enthusiastic about IT, data and our company to help us guard the company's data
- You will interact with multiple business partners across IT, Business, Engineering, Security, DBA and networking both in region and globally so strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

Key Requirements:

- Preferred intermediate Linux skills (4 years +)
- Experience of managing NAS and SAN environments
- Experience and Knowledge in multiple Windows, UNIX and/or Linux operating systems
- This job will work primarily on our NAS storage environments with responsibilities including:

- Troubleshoot performance and availability issues as they arise and Storage Capacity Planning
- Work closely with the storage build and operational teams - Work with key business partners to gather requirements and insure their services are fully protected
- Design of new storage arrays per customer requirement and IT standards
- Provision of storage to our business partners
- Manage and Handle permissions and data access requests, troubleshoot related issues
- Handle unplanned storage outages for rapid service-restoration with solid communications to customers and management
- Ensure data is protected via on-line and off-line backups & snapshots
- Be a vigilant steward of data integrity and availability, handling both tactical issues and suggesting strategies to improve these areas
- Provide regular reports to management on health of global storage environment
- Strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment who can interact with the technical and non-technical peers, management and customers.
