**Working hours**:Part time 12 hours per week. Target days are Tuesday and Friday 9am - 3.30pm. However, flexibility is preferred.

We’re looking for a motivated store assistant to join Cancer Research UK’s trading team. You’ll be acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK. Your shop will be a place where your community gets to meet our people, understand our brand, and see some of the great things we do.

**What will I be doing?**
- This position is primarily a driver support role. Most of your day will be spent supporting our driver with collections and deliveries of furniture and items donated to the charity. Please note a driving license is not required for this position. However, driving of the company van is possible in the drivers absence after completing the required checks and paperwork, if a drivers license is held.
- In addition, when not supporting the driver, you will be working in the shop, participating in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, donation sorting and front of house till work.
- Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
- Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.
- Assisting with maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
- Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
- Supporting fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.
- Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided)

**What skills **will I need **?**
- A n understanding of what makes great customer service.
- Experience of working in a busy customer service environment.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work independently when required.
- The a bility to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.

**And ideally**
- An understanding or an interest in fashion.
- Retail experience
- Experience with lifting and moving heavy items of furniture or equivalent
