**Job Title**: Locum Senior House Officer (SHO) - NHS Trust

**Salary**: 40 to 50 Pounds per hour based on your experience

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic investigations.
- Formulating and implementing appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitoring patient progress, including response to treatment and any adverse reactions, and adjusting management plans accordingly.
- Performing procedures and interventions as required within the scope of competence and under supervision.
- Participating in ward rounds, case discussions, and departmental meetings to review patient management strategies and clinical outcomes.
- Providing timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters, including clinical notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, guidelines, and governance standards, including patient safety and infection control measures.
- Providing support and guidance to junior medical staff, including Foundation Year doctors and medical students.
- Contributing to audit and quality improvement initiatives within the department to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Engaging in continuous professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration.
- Completion of Foundation Year training or equivalent.
- Previous experience in acute hospital settings, preferably within the NHS.
- Demonstrated competency in managing medical emergencies and acute clinical presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy, compassion, and professionalism.
- Willingness to undertake flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
- Ability to adapt to changing clinical priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning.

**Desirable**:

- Membership of relevant professional bodies or specialist interest groups.
- Experience in one or more of the specified specialty areas (General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Trauma and Orthopedics).
- Completion of relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications.

**Salary**: £40.00-£50.00 per hour
