This is a fixed-term contract for 9 months.

**Responsibilities of this Role**:

- Work closely with project managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project’s needs
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle helping the project find and schedule participants
- Grow and foster high-touch relationships with a database of qualified participants to pull from as project progresses
- Continuously partner with recruiting team and project managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies
- Stay active with current with social networks, and platforms to find participants
- Sensitive data handling
- Data entry of participant information
- Reporting to program manager and project managers
- Monitoring demographic quotas
- Liaising with recruitment teams
- Interacting with members of the public, both adults and minors
- Explaining project quality requirements to participants
- Accompanying participants during data collection, either stationary or in moving vehicles
- Moving vehicles to different locations
- Troubleshooting any software/hardware issues with the help of colleagues and technical support if required
- Setting up the camera equipment in different vehicles based on training provided
- Setting up the vehicles as per project requirements with a variety of objects loaded into the vehicles

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- 2+ years recruiting experience
- Degree or equivalent work-related experience in sourcing talent
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust
- Working knowledge of applicant screening methods
- Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Fluent in English
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Good technical/software skills e.g. MS Office, Windows, and comfortable with troubleshooting software/hardware

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- DBS Check (required)
- Experience with interacting with members of the public (adults and children) (preferred)
- Experience with monitoring quotas, for example matching participants to demographic targets
- Experience with managing your own time and schedule to meet project deadlines
- Comfortable driving a range of rental vehicles from compact to SUV
- Comfortable working independently
- A full UK driving licence (manual and automatic) with zero endorsements or penalties
- UK Driving licence (Minimum 2 years old) (required)
- Minimum of two years driving experience (preferred)

**Information Security Responsibilities**:

- The management of Appen has adopted an Information Security Management System and Information Security Policy that complies with BS7799-2:2005/ISO27001:2013 (the ISMS). All Appen employees are expected to adhere to this policy and the ISMS that implements this policy. All staff will receive appropriate training.
- All employees must sign an Individual User Agreement as part of the terms and conditions of their employment contract. User Agreements inform employees of their access rights and define their roles and responsibilities following Appen's Information Security Policy.
