Collins Aerospace Systems, part of Raytheon Technologies, is on the lookout for a Production Control Lead to join the team in Wolverhampton.

**Role Purpose**:
Responsibility for development, adherence and maturity of processes, tools and skillsets within the Commercial Aftermarket Production Control team ( MRO and spares ), to ultimately satisfy customer demand requirements, supported by robust load and capacity planning and optimal inventory holding.

**Principle Accountabilities**
- Lead a team of Production Controllers aligned to Commercial Aftermarket to generate do-able production plans, with optimal use of production equipment, labour and materials to satisfy customer demand in a timely manner and maintain designated buffer levels
- Co-ordinate cross-functionally with individuals to ensure planning and customer requirements are synchronized with processes and deliverables for; kitting, operations and packing / shipping
- Where material supply mismatches occur vs demand requirements, support supply-chain improvement or escalate material supply exceptions in a timely manner (internal and/or external)
- Generate / report performance and risk / opportunities to functional and business leadership team, with any risks supplemented with mitigation plans
- Manage and co-ordinate visual management activities to complement performance to the plan, including (where required) Line of Balance and WiP Tracking activities
- Drive a continuous improvement approach through QCPC turn back collection and corrective action on key functional processes
- Coach and develop the production control team through regular one-to-one engagement and creation of individual development plans
- Manage skills matrices appropriately to a ensure skills shortfalls are understood and plans are in place to bridge gaps, while also working towards a “ready now” status succession planning within the team
- Support short-term load and capacity resource planning (accounting for both labour and machine requirements), identifying risks for scheduling of the production plan
- Liaise closely with the SIOP and A&T teams to understand any new demand changes and impact on current production plans
- Ensure the team of Production Controllers are maintaining and managing the production plan scheduling activities in line with ERP principles

**Technical Competencies**
- Experience of production, inventory and load and capacity planning
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience using ERP Systems, preferably SAP
- An understanding of lean techniques employed within a manufacturing environment
- An understanding of shop floor planning employed within a manufacturing environment
- Strong customer focus, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Resilient in the pursuit of good performance under pressure
- Good organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated and able to assert self within team environment
- Problem solving techniques and ability to work on own initiative
