We are looking for a Head of English at Buckinghamshire College Group to join our cross-college Learning Innovation Team who will lead on ensuring a consistently high-quality learning experience for students, every day.

You will be inclusive and student
- focused to ensure that BCG staff are skilled and motivated to create exceptional learning experiences. A confident and competent teacher who values life-long learning and the status of the dual-professional working in FE, you will be an excellent role-model for colleagues and students. We have developed a strong network and engaged in national projects, and we are ready to activate an ambitious college approach to developing the literacy skills of students.

Key knowledge, skills and experience we are looking for:

- Excellent understanding of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
- Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and quality improvement practices
- The drive to lead, motivate and manage staff to support strong student success
- Deliver excellent student success by supporting ambitious, high-quality teaching and learning, every day.
- Lead on curriculum design, learning innovation and tracking and monitoring the progress of learners.
- Collaboratively develop an English provision that meets the needs of students, employers and stakeholders now and in the future.
- Lead and develop a high performing team of staff
