Handyman/woman (Maintenance)

Position: Handyperson

Location: Bridgnorth/Shropshire

Pay: £12 per hour + Paid Mileage

Hours**:32 hours per week, split between two homes (2 days in one home and 2 days in the sister home.**

**Position Overview**:
We are currently seeking a skilled Handyperson to join our clients care company in the Bridgnorth/Shropshire area. As a Handyperson, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and maintenance of the care homes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry repairs.
- Performing general repairs and troubleshooting issues as they arise within the care homes.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Assisting with the upkeep of the grounds and outdoor areas.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
- Collaborating with other staff members to address maintenance-related concerns efficiently.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and reporting any significant issues to management.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably within a healthcare or residential setting.
- Strong practical skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to adhere to them.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff and residents.
- Flexibility to work 32 hours per week, split between two care homes in Bridgnorth/Shropshire.
- Must be a driver due to the nature of commuting between. the two homes
