Siemens Bank, London Branch has an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and market-leading project finance debt team. We are active in identifying, structuring, arranging and lending to project finance transactions in the UK, Middle East and Africa. This role will be based in London; reporting to the Head of Project Finance. Siemens Bank has a prominent project finance franchise, boasting significant experience, with a strong pedigree and market profile. Siemens Bank is part of Siemens Financial Services (SFS) which provides business-to-business financial solutions. Around the globe, we support customer investments with project and structured financing as well as leasing and equipment finance.
You will be responsible for identifying, arranging and transacting project finance opportunities, typically as part of a bank lead arranging group, or alternatively acquired on a primary or secondary syndication basis. In addition, you will be identify and prosecute new markets and products as necessary and building and maintaining relationships with clients. You will work in an inspiring environment within a highly motivated culture, where an enthused team focuses on the customer and on best practices.
Whilst based from our London branch, we offer a combination of home and office working. There will be required travel occasionally across Europe and Middle-East.
**What will you deliver?**
- Identifying and proactively developing new lending opportunities within sectoral and geographic markets
- Structuring, negotiating and executing highly sophisticated project and corporate/hybrid debt structures, pricing and asset analysis and creating term sheets
- You will be working in close collaboration with the colleagues from other debt Origination Teams, Risk Management, Risk Rating, Legal and, where appropriate, Siemens AG. Also the role will require close coordination and collaboration with the SFS Finance Advisory team (to support Siemen’s sales activities to projects) as well as working in close collaboration with colleagues in other connected SFS teams such as Equity and Commercial Finance
- You will work with your well-established external contact base of Lead arranging banks, project sponsors and financial advisers to engage proactively on potential financing solutions
**You will be a great fit with**:
- Significant knowledge of the project finance market from a debt perspective including expertise of, and an identifiable track-record of closing (as a lender) transactions within, the renewable, energy transition, PPP, and infra-corporate sectors
- Graduate-level educational background, preference for a degree related to finance, banking or engineering
- An additional qualification would be viewed positively (e.g. MBA, CFA)
- Significant relevant experience in a front-office project finance lending environment, strong structuring skills and deep understanding of market developments in the infrastructure and energy markets
- Established market network including with sponsors, arranging banks and advisors to support continued growth in our project and structured debt franchise
- A high-performance professional demonstrating sound judgement and business integrity who possesses strong communication skills
