**Position Description**:
Manufacturing Infrastructure Engineer to be accountable for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects within GME Manufacturing plants, using both internal and external contractor base.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Drive a 'Zero Harm' approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance. This will include civil works, structural steel works, mechanical, electrical, utility works and general facility fit outs. (With the support of design consultants / vendorsas required)
- Support the wider business planning function, in scheme creation, feasibility, budget creation and justifications.
- Support the GME Infrastructure team in the development of key stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all Infrastructure works. This will include stakeholders outside of GME.
- Support the GME Infrastructure Manager with the development and maintenance of all Infrastructure standards within ME.
- Deliver world class facilities and infrastructure, safely, on budget, on time and to agreed quality standards.
- Undertake any other work as directed by the GME Infrastructure Manager in connection with their job requested

**Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Clear understanding of site safety / contractor auditing, and Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc).
- Previous experience and strong background of Infrastructure works from conception through to delivery and completion.
- Experienced in contractor management, and site activities.
- Core Health and Safety knowledge (Contractor Management) such as NEBOSH General Certificate, with Construction module, IOSH, SMSTS or similar
- Willing to cover wider MI team during key installation periods of site activity, via flexible working week, including some weekend cover when required (potential for fixed weekend rotas with 2 day mid-week rest period)
- Knowledge and experience of proposing feasible schemes and subsequent development, including budget costing, thru to stakeholder agreement and sign off.
- Clearly this is a core functional delivery role, and you must be able to demonstrate core quals and experience in this regard.
- An individual with a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with and makes people feel special, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent and dependable.
- Excellent communicator, having the ability engage and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to motivate and drive the team / contractors through tough challenges to deliver
- Ability to pull together functional and cross-functional teams to achieve goals and KPIs
- Resilient and enthusiastic with the ability to deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Proven experience in leading and managing multiple contractors to deliver against tight timescales and budgets.

**Education**:
Ideally degree level qualified or equivalent experience preferred (but not essential) in Infrastructure, Plant, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines / industry.
