Care Dorset is a leading provider of care services dedicated to supporting individuals in their own homes on a journey towards independence and improved well-being. Our mission is to empower people by offering compassionate care, tailored support, and promoting reablement.

**We offer full and part-time, days, evenings and weekends. An element of weekend working will be required and we are able to offer weekends only. Please state your availability when applying.**

**The Opportunity**

As a Reablement Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with regaining their independence and achieving their personal goals. You will work closely with service users, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centered care and support.
- Delivering high-quality care and support to service users in their own homes.
- Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and medication management.
- Providing assistance with household tasks, meal preparation, and light housekeeping duties.
- Supporting service users with mobility, transfers, and exercises as per their care plans.
- Encouraging and promoting independence through reablement techniques.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with service users, their families, and the wider care team.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of care provided.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A full valid driving licence
