**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure all areas of the nursing home are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and regulations.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to support the housekeeping department.
- Respond promptly to resident and staff requests regarding housekeeping services.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure a coordinated approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursing home.
- Leading by example and be involved in the domestic and laundry duties.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a housekeeping department, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Understanding of infection control procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards residents and staff.

Pay: £12.00 per hour
