**Summary**:
Number 1 Radio School (No1 RS) based in RAF Cosford is the foremost provider of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) technical training to Royal Air Force ICT Technicians and Engineer Officers.

Structured under the Defence School of Communications & Information Systems (DSCIS) within the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT). No1 RS is a venerable and historic military training institution whose origins in the field of communications training can be traced back more than 100 years.

As the School embarks-upon a second century of excellence, its ‘whole force’ military/Civil Service workforce blend are pivotal in the development of ICT training delivery to meet the significant demands of information-centric 5th generation Royal Air Force (RAF) platforms and capabilities. In doing so, their approach and dedication to public service remains fully commensurate with No1 RS’ legendary moto: Thorough.

No1 RS trains officers, aviators, soldiers and sailors in cyber and space capabilities at RAF Cosford and RAF Digby. Each year, No1 RS typically develops 1300 Phase 3 (pre-employment/career training) students, 250 Phase 2 (initial technical training) aviators and 60 officers, in addition to Engineering Degree courses.

Reporting to the TMSS Administration Manager.

The post is for 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and is available for part-time staff albeit on a job share basis, operating a ‘hybrid’ split between office and homeworking.

**Job description**:
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- All the administration of all CE-EOFT including support of students during the arrival process, utilising TAFMIS, planning and booking of all visiting lectures and all graduations for CE-EOFT students.
- Acting as secretary for all CE-EOFT end of course meetings and any-other meetings on request. Producing and promulgating comprehensive and accurate minutes in a timely manner within 2 days
- Coordinate diary for CE-EOFT matters, liaising with the No 1 RS Support Flt Admin E2-3 to ensure visibility to the OC No 1 RS
- Maintain spreadsheet of visiting Lecturers and CE-EOFT PipeLine, maintaining contact with RAF Cranwell Training & Holding Flt Admin
- Act as the first point of contact for trainees and school staff, managing telephones and face to face queries.
- The management of trainee personal information to build Student accounts on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and act as a first Point of Contact for all school course administration.
- Administration of course documentation.
- Assisting other team members with the safe receipt and distribution of official and private mail.
- To assist No 1 RS Support Flt Admin AO-2 in the collection of stationery and the opening of the Stationery room as required.
