Our client, a leading children’s charity, providing support vulnerable children and young people who are at risk of harm are looking for a Wellbeing Practitioner to join their team.

The role will include supporting Children and Young People ages 0-25 who are experiencing low level mental health issues.

**Synopsis of duties**:

- Providing specialist support and advise to Children and Young People who need support with their mental health
- Providing emotional and practical support to Children and Young People
- Conducting risk assessments and devising support plans
- Providing drop-in sessions and structured 1-1 sessions with Children and Young people to help with their complex needs
- Encouraging the child/young person to use tools to help better their mental health and offer coping strategies
- Working collaboratively with partners, ensuring the needs of service users are met
- Ensuring that safeguarding is of paramount importance, ensuring that all safeguarding measures are always followed

**Essential Requirements**:

- Experience of working with children/young people who have suffered with mental health issues
- Knowledge of the issues that children, young people and adults face when accessing mental health services
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding
- Preferably have a qualification in one of the following: Health or Social Care related degree, JNC Qualified Youth Worker, Counselling/Therapist Qualification or equivalent
- Must have an enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service

Supporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £26,855.00-£29,840.00 per year

Expected hours: 17.5 per week

**Experience**:

- Supporting Vulnerable Children and Young People: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Enhanced DBS (required)
