Support Worker
**Duties**:
- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed instructions.
- Manage conflicts and resolve issues that may arise among residents.
- Uphold and advocate for the rights of residents, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect.
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Drive residents to appointments or outings as needed.
- Lift and transfer residents using proper techniques and equipment.
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling resident information.
- Provide childcare services when necessary.
- Perform first aid procedures and monitor vital signs of residents.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with residents.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with the physical needs of residents.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing support worker roles.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-40.25 per week
**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
