**Role: Interim Senior Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)**

**Location**: Principally Home based - London or Madrid

**Rate**:Around £500-600 per day **inside IR35**
(Can also be hired on a permanent basis**Salary: **£80,000 to £90,000 plus benefits)
**Term**: Expected to be around 3-4 months minimum

What you’ll be walking into is a company who have a SFMC implementation which has a lot of headroom for improvement across various regions around the world.

Those improvements are in the thinking and strategy behind customer journeys, as well as automation.

Each region has an implementation of some kind in place. Some more advanced than others. You’re being dropped in as the expert in the room. Able to talk the marketing and CRM lingo around customer journeys, understanding the business objectives behind campaignsand don’t just build things from a technical perspective. Able to put yourself in the customer’s shoes to appreciate what a good journey looks and feels like, and how it’s all put together and executed in Salesforce.

Complexity will arise when dealing with different regions. Such as the variety of nuance found across various APAC countries, and how you need to adapt approach and CRM journeys to best fit with cultural variations.

Then there’s the connection between SFMC and Salesforce Sales Cloud. That’s something not yet realised and will be in scope for you to sort out.

Your start point will be the USA, picking up on an implementation and projects already in place. Reviewing existing journeys and looking for opportunities to optimise and improve both the campaigns themselves and automation.

You will be engaging with Marketing, Brand and CRM Directors from the Global team, providing guidance and counsel on the art of what’s possible. Removing the jargon and complexity from the SFMC platform so they’re able to engage and understand what’s neededof them. Plus the business benefits which can be realised by engaging with the platform properly.

You will also identify and engage with others from regional marketing teams to create SFMC Champions. They will become the individuals responsible for handling day to day operations and can trouble shoot issues as they arise. As you will be skilling themup on the platform so they’re able to become self-sufficient.

**About the company**

They’re a global player in the Edtech industry, and likely one of the main names you’ve come across, if you happen to be familiar with that industry.

They have offices around the world, with hubs for the Global marketing teams in both Madrid and the UK.

They’re able to consider this role on a freelance basis whilst they look to appoint a permanent individual, so minimum term expected to be around 3-4 months, but could be longer. They could also consider someone who’s looking for potential contract to permoption.

It’s worth noting, whilst this role is primarily able to work remotely. There will be a need to visit sites in Madrid, Spain and also Poland from time to time. This travel will of course be expensed.

**Key Experience Needed**
- Solid CRM background with a deep knowledge of SFMC
- Good understanding of howe to get things plugged in the right way, as well as do the campaign strategy and customer journey planning
- Able to automate journeys effectively, measure, refine and optimise performance
- You know how to connect SFMC with SFSC with the above
- You’re able to work effectively with a marketing team and not get stuck in a world of IT jargon when dealing with all things SMFC
- Able to coach and support others with becoming familiar with the platform to create business champions
- You’re likely familiar with Contact Builder, Audience Builder and Predictive Intelligence too
