**Purpose of the Role**

As an Intern in the Trade Marketing team, you will be a key member which assists in creating the local market brand development strategy within the bicycle retailer channel. The team will execute this across a variety of marketing mediums, including product launches, trade public relations and communications efforts, displays and retailer events.

The team will work to fully support the defined commercial strategy and top-line with creative campaigns which enable our partner retailers to effectively get our products and services in front of consumers and maximise conversion in-store.

As a Trade Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the overall function of the Marketing department. Your primary tasks will include managing trade publication relationships, creating compelling copy as directed by the Trade Marketing Manager, and assisting in the development and implementation of trade marketing strategies and campaigns. You will also support the creation and distribution of marketing materials, coordinate and execute marketing events such as trade shows, conferences, and webinars, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating customer databases, as well as providing administrative support to the marketing team as needed.

You will need to liaise with clients, service providers and customers, including leading projects and face-to-face meetings.

The Trade Marketing Team will be predominantly office-based when not out with clients or customers. You will be required to attend events to support the needs of the business.

**Role & Responsibilities**

**Trade Marketing**
- Support the Trade Marketing Manager in achieving marketing goals and objectives
- Create compelling copy as directed by the Trade Marketing Manager
- Work in close co-operation with the Marketing Activation Team to ensure full alignment on global brand strategies and campaigns
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns
- Support the creation and distribution of marketing materials
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of marketing materials and campaigns
- Coordinate and execute marketing events such as trade shows, conferences, and webinars
- Assist in managing trade publication relationships
- Represent the marketing department in a professional and positive manner at all times
- Attend events to support the needs of the business as required

**Collaborate with Internal Teams**
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business objectives
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed
- Liaise with clients, service providers, and customers
- Assist with and Lead projects and face-to-face meetings
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

**Business and Database Management**
- Maintain and update customer databases with accurate and current information
- Any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role

**Experience**
- Experience in a marketing role is not essential but could be advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
