Harborough District Council are looking to appoint a highly motivated and committed individual to join our Communities Team as a Senior Administrator (Grants).

Forecast future needs for community facilities such as sports halls, community and village halls and other indoor venues. This includes leading in the production of planning policy documents and procedure notes in relation to planning obligations and strategies relating to community and sports facilities.

Drive the delivery of s106 funding for community facilities, sports facilities, and offsite recreation by developing potential projects and working with parish councils, schools, community / sports organisations, and the council’s assets team, providing specialist support, signposting to, and advising on external funding opportunities, as necessary.

You will liaise with developers and other stakeholders on legal variations of s106 agreements in relation to community facilities and opens space related amendments.

You will be educated to a degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. You must have experience of working in community development, Partnership working across a wide range of organisations from the private, public, or voluntary sectors.

An understanding of the planning process, community development issues and methods to engage with residents and stakeholders is key to the success of this role as well as understanding of project planning and developing, implementing, and monitoring of budget and project action plans.

You will hold a current driving licence and have access to a suitable vehicle. The Disclosure and Barring Records Bureau basic disclosure process applies to this post. You will also be required to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Harborough District Council has an open and positive stance on the protection of children, young and vulnerable people.
