**Health, Safety & Fire Advisor (Housing)**

**Home based with travel throughout Southwest UK **(it would be ideal if you lived in Glastonbury or surrounding areas)

**up to £40,000 (depending on experience) + £5,800 Car allowance**

**Permanent - 37.5 hours per week**

Anchor are the largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people in England, we manage 60,000 homes for people in later life across almost 1,700 sites and operate in over 85% of local councils in England.

The Housing Services directorate comprises of Rented, Homeownership, Extra Care and Customer Services teams and approximately 1,800 colleagues.

**The role**:
As the Health, Fire & Safety Advisor, you will provide a comprehensive health, safety and fire (HS&F) service to Anchor’s housing locations within your region, occasional overnight stays will be required.

You will be working as part of a regional team of HS&F Advisors, you will conduct and review fire risk assessments, safety audits and training to achieve excellent levels of compliance. You will also provide general HS&F advice and support by ensuring a safe environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors.

**What we need from you**:
Full, current driving license

Essential Qualifications:

- General NEBOSH qualification
- Recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification

Desirable Qualifications:

- NVQ level 5 (or equivalent) Management of Occupational Health and Safety.
- Registered on the IFE/BAFE Fire risk register or similar.

Knowledge & Experience:

- Good knowledge and understanding of relevant areas of compliance relating to Housing.
- A strong and proven ability to effectively communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders and customers.
- Application of health, safety and fire management within a Housing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of housing operations and the needs of older people.
- Accident/incident investigation.
- Good knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
