Workshop Controller

Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit a passionate, committed, and driven individual, to work as a Workshop Controller. We envisage that the role will be split equally between the office and workshop within our Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) at our Consett Headquarters.

**The Role**:

- Daily planning, supervision, and training of staff within the VMU in a diligent, efficient, and safe manner.
- Management, maintenance, and growth of current & future workshop staff, in order to harness strengths and lead from the front
- Working with workshop apprentices to hone their skills and inspire development into future technicians, in order to maintain stability and quality within the backdrop of the VMU - we see this as a key responsibility moving forward
- Effecting the safe and compliant repair & maintenance of the Company’s modern fleet of LGVs & trailers
- Liaising with the fleet manager and administration staff to ensure all compliance markers are met to keep the Company’s fleet compliant, efficient, and safe.

**Base**:
The role would be based at our Consett Co Durham Headquarters Monday to Friday 0800hrs to 1700hrs, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £48,000.00 per year
