**Job Opportunity**:Bookkeeper - Construction

**Position**: Full-time, Permanent.

**Salary**: A competitive salary of up to £30k per year

**Location**: Basingstoke

Our client, a reputable construction company based near the town of Usk in Monmouthshire, is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join their team. Established in 2001, our client undertakes contracting within the external works environment, specializing in fencing, groundworks, landscaping, drainage, septic tanks, and sewage treatment plant services. Due to company growth the opportunity to work with a leading construction company with a strong track record has now opened.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor cash flow and financial health.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
