**Job summary**:
1.1Perform unsupervised routine maintenance and minor repair work that does not require the attention of a fully qualified craftsperson, related to his/her training.

1.2Learn minor repair work related to other trades as required.

1.3Use all relevant tools safely and responsibly.

1.4To undertake training for new practices, procedures and equipment.

1.5To assist colleagues on new work and repairs.

1.6To perform other routine tasks including labouring as and when required.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
To carry out checks to all external drains and clear when necessary,

To check and clear gutters and gullies around site,

To assist the builder with their work when needed,

Carry out site trawls of the site to collect and dispose of any large waste,

To work in accordance with Trust safety rules and procedures at all times,

Carry out all work on equipment as required by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH Regulations, Building and Construction Regulations and the Trust's Safety Policy,

To work overtime to carry out repairs/maintenance not possible during normal hours,

At all times when on duty, to carry Trust communication devices such as mobile telephones, PDA, two-way radios or pagers to facilitate immediate response to emergencies,

Where required to, holds a current certificate of training and is competent in the operation and use of a counterbalance forklift truck for compliance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998,

Where required to, holds a current certificate of training and is competent in the operation and use of bonded abrasive wheels for compliance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998,

Uses all relevant diagnostic, and hand tools within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works,
