**Finance Assistant**

Due to the growth in our business and increased workloads we have an amazing opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Finance Assistant to join our team. We are a fast paced, fun, vibrant office based in Warrington town centre, with great transport links to bus and train stations.

As Finance Assistant you will be organised, proactive and professional. You will understand each client’s needs and deadlines, to ensure report is maintained. You will report directly to the Finance Manager, whilst having the support from the wider team.

**Duties will include, but are not limited to**:

- Follow the debt chasing process through to court action.
- Evaluate new credit requests and review client credit rankings via the necessary checks.
- Create new client accounts, ensuring all the correct processes have been undertaken.
- Ensure credit limits are adhered to.
- Report weekly on aged debtors, payments and overdue credit.
- Resolve client queries promptly.
- Reconcile and allocate payments daily.
- Liaise with our factoring facility regarding debtor ledgers.
- Raise proforma invoices.
- Month end reconciliations.
- Maintain and build positive relationships with all our internal and external teams.
- Support other finance departments such as Purchase Ledger, Payroll and Billing as and when required.
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties which may be requested by your line manager or directors.
- Be driven, positive and creative.
- Hold at least 2 years previous experience within a similar finance / credit control role.
- Have excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel.
- Ideally have experience with Sage 50 Accounts.
- Ideally have previous experience dealing with a factoring / ID facility.
- Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload to strict deadlines.
- An excellent telephone manner.
- Highly PC literate.
- Ability to communicate at all levels in a professional manner.
- Excellent team worker.
- Have a sharp eye for detail.
- Possess the ability to build, and maintain, strong relationships both externally and internally.
- Training will be provided where needed._
