**My client are a well established, global freight forwarding company looking for an experienced Branch Manager to join their successful team based in Manchester.**

**This is a hands on management role that has direct influence on the branch, overseeing and managing the operations and personnel. Other duties will include**:

- Overseeing a successful operation and managing the team, ensuring a high standard of customer service is achieved
- Maintain prompt and efficient freight movement ensuring all data entry is accurate and recording maintaining company standards and industry regulations
- Handling imports and exports, screening, road freight operations and 3PL
- Setting budgets accordingly with VP to ensure revenue and profit goals are constantly met
- Conducting regular calls to develop and improve customer relations and performance to gain new business in cooperation with sales and service team
- Maintaining a level of professional behaviour continuously developing and coaching the team
- Managing customer service levels, warehouse operation and security arrangements
- Ensuring branch is fully compliant with security and Health and safety requirements
- Responsible for staff training, appraisals, absence management, recruitment and disciplinary as appropriate
- Planning and preparing reports and monitoring budgets
- Commercial focus, looking for new opportunities to increase profit

**Qualifications**:

- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Ensure operational compliance including safety, security and customs
- Indepth knowledge minimum of 5 years in air cargo and freight forwarding including operations, pricing and sales
- Ability to motivate and drive a successful team
- Proven ability to deliver results

**Working hours**:

- Monday - friday 0900am - 1730pm
