**The Role**

Key purpose of the role is to lead and drive improvements in Grounds Maintenance by being a proactive champion of public spaces for the community, ensuring value for money and the delivery of high-quality service is in line with the expectations of the community.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Provide leadership and direction operational staff within the Grounds Maintenance service area
- Responsible for all operational issues including the scheduling and planning of maintenance activities.
- promote biodiversity and sustainable land management principles.

To be considered for this role you will require:

- An advanced understanding and experience of the technical aspects of the Grounds Maintenance Service
- Extensive supervisory experience of managing a large workforce
- Sound knowledge of financial management and control practices including the monitoring of budgets and procurement

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

- Horticultural or land management qualification at OND level or equivalent
- resilient under periods of high pressure
- A Management Qualification or equivalent

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering **£23 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35**.
