**SEN Learning Mentor - Southwark South East London**

This progressive SEN/EBD School in Southwark South East London are looking for a Learning Mentor to join their small specialist team, teaching and supporting learners with emotional and behavioural difficulties who struggle with all areas of learning andsocial integration.

**The School**:
My clients are looking to hire a SEMH Teaching Assistant to start a new role As soon as possible. The school are warm, welcoming and genuinely caring, they provide 'Learning for Life' for pupils aged 5 - 16 with special educational needs. The school believethat to truly flourish children must feel valued, the focus on what each child can achieve and celebrate their successes.

To be a Learning Mentor in this school it is important that you are calm and collective in challenging situation. This provision is a new venture for the school and you must be able to work well in a team and respect and value the different experiences,ideas and backgrounds others can bring to work and to the teams. You must have full working knowledge and experience of implementing learning and therapeutic approaches along with a good understanding of child development and learning processes.

For this Learning Mentor role must be confident and experienced as you will be expected to lead and support other staff, the school are looking for 2 learning mentors and ideally would like them to have either a psychology degree or to have experience withspeech and language therapy.
