**Pay rate**: Band 2 - £11.45 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays
**Shift Pattern**:Monday - Sunday 37.5 hours per week

**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Transfer of patients either walking, in wheelchairs, on a bed/trolley or by ambulance from wards and departments within the required time. Assist with of the moving and handling of patients when requested.
- Moving deceased patients from wards/ departments to the mortuary in a discreet and sensitive manner, observing any religious or cultural requirements.
- Collection and delivery of meal trolleys from kitchens and Wards, delivery of pharmacy boxes to wards and delivery of specimens from wards and departments to the path lab.
- Collection and removal of all waste throughout the hospital. Also delivering medical gas cylinders, clean linen, furniture, mail & parcels.
- Ensure that whilst driving Trust vehicles, you do so safely with the welfare of staff, patients and other road users a priority. (Driving License required)
- Ensure that Trust vehicles remain clean and roadworthy, reporting any defects to the Transport Administrator.
- The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above._
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role
- Eye for detail
- Physically fit due to handle handling
- Full clean UK driving license
- A good understanding of spoken and written English.
- Trained in Manual Handling
- Experience in a similar role (though full training given)
