This is a temporary Trainee Accountant role working for a school in FTSE 250 business in Slough. This role would suit an Accounting and Finance graduate looking to secure an Accountant role.

This Trainee Accountant role will be working for a growing organisation in Slough.

**Description**

This temporary Trainee Accountant position, will involve the following responsibilities:

- Responsible for financial accounting and general ledger
- Duties will include: Standard reporting, creating journals, balance sheet and bonus and commission calculations, accruals, creation and management of fixed assets, intercompany accounts, recharges, running allocations, posting payroll journals, assistingwith any group reporting requirements, prepayments and tax accounting
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for entities in the region where required
- Meeting any internal and external audit requirements
- Ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Working in line with GFS global processes
- Meeting deadlines
- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
- Resolving accounting discrepancies

**Profile**

The ideal Trainee Accountant will have the following:

- Displays a full and technical understanding of the accounts and the impact on the business and department
- Excellent attention to detail
- Acts with the highest levels of integrity and treats others with respect
- Escalates issues appropriately
- Articulate, both verbally and in writing
- Good standard of English is required
- Effective and clear communicator
- Ability to create good working relationships with both the internal team and stakeholders
- Professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, including QBE
- Good understanding of the recruitment industry is desirable
