The department offers 2 purpose built têxtiles rooms, 2 food technology rooms and 2 workshops. You will work alongside 6 highly experienced teachers and 2 technicians, all willing to share resources and work collaboratively.

Throughout Key Stage 3 and GCSE they aim to deliver the curriculum in a progressive spiral sequence to build on students' knowledge and understanding year upon year. The curriculum is based on a wide range of creative activities that develop skills in research,observation and creativity.

The students have a genuine desire to learn and poor behaviour is dealt with swiftly, the successful Textiles teacher will require the ability to plan interesting lessons that capture the student's imaginations.

The school has excellent provision for training and development. They ensure that all teachers are given the opportunity for further training and CPD on a weekly basis. You will also have the full support of an outstanding senior leadership team that operatean -open door' policy over any issues its teachers have.
