Greenkeeper

**Greenkeeper Required**

**Salary**: £10.42 - £12.80 per hour

**Shifts**:Monday to Friday

Temporary contract with possibility going permanent to the right person.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Undertake routine preparation and maintenance work on a range of sports facilities and surfaces as detailed on work schedules
- Drive and move vehicles and equipment as required for grounds maintenance operations including growing lamps, tractors, grass cutting machines etc
- Ensure vehicles and equipment used by self and work group are regularly maintained in accordance with routine operating requirements
- Ensure the safe use of machinery and report asap
- Promote health and safety to self and others, ensuring work area is kept clean, tidy, and secure at all times, responding appropriately to emergency situation
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, and end users
- Make recommendations to Deputy Groundsman and Head Groundsman regarding the improvement of current systems of work, labour and machinery utilization
- Undertakes other such duties which arise with familiarity and development of the jobs
- Must be willing to work unsociable hours and be willing to work in sometimes adverse weather conditions

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience working within a similar role or environment
- At least level 2+ qualifications in a relevant field of study - NVQ, SVQ or Work Place Diploma
- Level 2 GMA Technical Certificate in Turf Surface Maintenance
- Clear understanding of the relevant Health and Safety legislation.
- Hold either PA1, PA2 or PA6 Qualification - Desirable
- Previous experience with football pitches - Desirable
