Science Teacher required for Gateshead School
Your new company
Hays are working with a Secondary School in Gateshead who are looking for a teacher of Science for a long term temporary role to start in January 2023.
This secondary school is a safe, happy, and academically ambitious school that puts every student's progress and success at the heart of all they do.
Your new role
This is a long-term cover role for a teacher of Science and will involve planning and preparing.
The position is Monday - Friday and is to start in January 2023.
- Deliver a consistently high quality of teaching, learning, assessment, and high standards of achievement.
- Demonstrate positive approaches in matters relating to student discipline and contact with parents and so forth
- Ensure that there is an atmosphere conducive to quality learning within the curriculum area, and that students' experiences are challenging, stimulating, and differentiated according to need.
- To be an active member of the department through involvement in course development, consultation, and planning

What you'll need to succeed
- Someone with a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to inspire students through their passion and knowledge for Science
- Applications are welcome from NQTs, from more experienced colleagues who are looking for a change
- A successful teacher who believes in bringing out the best in every student
- Be passionate about Science
- Be an excellent teacher.
- Be a committed team player.
- Can engage and inspire pupils and build excellent relationships.
