Are you an ambitious baker looking to work for a growing food manufacturer in Cornwall? On offer is the opportunity to work for a small bakery in a friendly and supportive working environment. We are looking to recruit a full time baker at our Production Unit in Torpoint to assist with the production of our bread, morning goods and pasties.
Shift start time at approximately 3pm, finish time varies depending on demand, but usually between 10pm and 11pm, 5 days a week, 30 to 40 hours a week.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced baker, with a passion and talent for bread baking. Ideally you have experience in mixing, moulding, oven work and crimping pasties. On the job training will be provided
The Role
- Determine variety and quantity of goods to bake by reviewing production schedule.
- Prepare doughs by measuring ingredients; mixing ingredients to form dough; cutting dough into portions; hand moulding dough into loaves or desired shapes.
- Prepare doughs for baking by placing shaped dough in greased or floured pans; allowing dough to rise; inserting pans of raised dough into oven to bake.
- Production of pasties, filling and crimping.
- Cool baked goods by removing from oven; placing on cooling racks; removing from pans.
- Baker in a small team producing a wide range of traditional and artisan goods;
