With just over 1,300 employees, we know that our people are at the crux of what we do which is why we are focussed on and committed to finding and retaining good people. We are currently recruiting for a Timber Terminal Operative, based within the Timber Terminal Operation in the Port of Dundee.

**About The Role**

This role will involve you loading timber to vehicles, treatment of timber packs, general housekeeping and stock control.

Your duties will also involve manual handling and ensuring timber is stored correctly. Driving a forklift will be a regular feature of the job.

You will ensure that hauliers arriving to uplift goods from the Port are loaded with the correct cargo and issued with the correct paperwork

You will be required to ensure that all jobs are carried out safely and in line with Company procedures. You should be able to demonstrate a good awareness of Health and Safety at all times.

You will be required to cover the terminal administration role as and when required.

**What are we looking for?**

You must be an effective team player with flexibility to assist in other operational areas within the Port. You should also have:

- Knowledge of the handling and storage of timber
- Good understanding of the COSHH requirements for handling chemicals in the treatment of timber.
- Experience of driving a fork lift truck.
- Previous administration/IT experience.
- Good attention to detail
