Consultant Respiratory Physician 12 Months Fixed Tern Maternity Cover
10 PAs - 5 days per week in addition to taking part in on call rota
Applications are invited for a consultant to work at Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust supporting the Respiratory Department. This is an exciting time to be joining us as we have merged to become one of the largest Respiratory departments in the UK.
The person appointed will be based at Aintree Hospital and will be joining a friendly team within a large, busy department.
Applicants are required to hold Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Medicine or equivalent qualifications, to be fully registered with the General Medical Council with licence to practise and listed on the Specialist Register or due to be registered within six months of the date of appointment
The successful applicant will join Aintree Chest Centre and undertake duties as a Consultant Physician.
The role supports the Lung Cancer team long with cancer subspeciality clinics. Office accommodation and secretarial support will be provided and clinical activities supported junior medical staff. IT access and training will be provided.
The appointee would support the General Respiratory wards with post take ward round sessions allocated. There will be dedicated cancer outpatient blocks which are templated as a 4 hour clinic and templates may be variable according to sub-specialty requirements.
The appointee will participate in the Respiratory on call rota.
Full induction and IT system training will be provided.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
