At DS Smith, we are currently looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our Sales, Marketing & Innovation (SMI) Academy.

This is an exciting NEW opportunity and as the Learning & Development Specialist focused on Sales & Marketing you will support our learning and development programmes continue to contribute to building functional capabilities and influence improved businessperformance.

This role is perfect for someone who is a Learning and Development Specialist with a background that includes working with Sales & Marketing teams.

**What will you be doing?**
- You will help build talent and skill levels within our Sales & Marketing teams aligned to people and commercial strategies.
- You will assess learning needs, set goals and employ your skill to design and create appropriate learning solutions that follow 70-20-10 methodology ready for deployment and eventual evaluation of the result.
- Design and build e-learning modules using authoring software and update a Learning Experience Platform; including setting up channels, uploading e-learning materials and assigning appropriate modules to audience when necessary.
- You will need to be agile and have excellent stakeholder management skills as you will be working with teams throughout the entire business matrix and geographies.

**What are we looking for?**
- Qualified to Degree level, or equivalent experience in L&D
- We are looking for someone who has experience with 70-20-10 methodology.
- Experience of designing and deploying a variety of learning styles - blended, digital, virtual and face to face. Instructional design qualifications or experience of e-module authoring tools are very desirable.
- It would be beneficial if you have had experience working in a large global organisation across different geographies.
- Collaborative, you enjoy working in a team and can work independently.
- A keen self-starter who thrives within 'hands on' situations
- Ability to work at pace, dynamic and energetic with an eye for detail
